The reason, my friend is that they neither visualize nor write down their weight loss goals, and that is why they never achieve anything. In this article I will tell you how visualizing your weight loss goal is the very first thing you must do in order to lose weight.
1. Why visualizing your weight loss goals is important: Let’s say that you are driving a car. If you don’t have any idea of where to go, how would you reach your destination? The same applies to weight loss too! Unless you have an idea of your destination, you cannot really achieve your weight loss goal. In the absence of any idea, the best you can do is to jump from one fad diet into another with little or no success.
Now, I know that it is not possible for you own in the specific details of the amount of pounds you want to lose, or the number of inches by which you want to get slimmer, unless you are a professional doctor. But nevertheless, it IS possible to visualize yourself in the slim figure, isn’t it? For example, why not draw a picture of yourself with a slim body? This would give you an idea of what type of figure you want to yourself.
You may or may not have realized it, but simply by doing this one thing you have won half the battle of weight loss. Once you put that picture in a position where you can see it everyday, you will get motivated to lose weight faster so that you can acquire that perfect slim figure.
2. Write down your goals: Visualizing your goals is only the first step towards successful weight loss. The next step is to write down your goals. Once again it is not necessary to go by the specifics; rather you simply write down the reason why you want to lose weight. Make sure that the reason for weight loss is something personal and selfish!
Written goals have many advantages over unwritten goals. Whenever you want to give up your weight loss efforts (and it will happen time and again, since weight loss is not easy), your written goals would remind you why you are trying to lose weight and more importantly, why you should never give up your weight loss efforts. The written piece will further motivate you to work harder and not to stop until you have reached your final destination.

So another reason why you should write your weight loss goals is to ensure that you never forget about them! Remember that obesity will KILL you one day if you do nothing about it, so it is better to take the necessary steps early and lose weight fast so that you can live a long and healthy life!
