For example, consciously, you may tell yourself that you won’t eat junk foods and survive only on raw fruits and vegetables, but on a subconscious level, you are afraid of failure, you long for your favorite fatty foods, and you want to sit on your couch instead of walking or exercising. With such opposing attitudes, you cannot lose weight. So the very first step you should take is to change your mental attitude.

You can do this either with the help of positive affirmations or hypnosis. Make a list of sentences like ‘I will lose fat’, ‘I won’t eat burgers’, ‘I will eat only natural fruits’, ‘I won’t cheat on my diet’, ‘I will exercise regularly’, etc. Spell out these affirmations every morning after you wake up from bed.
