What if I tell you of a way to lose weight, which if you follow, you will not only lose those extra pounds, but also become healthier and feel better about yourself? And what if I tell you that in order to follow my plan you won’t need to follow any ’special diet plan’ or pop any weight loss pill or supplement?
Sounds too good to be true? That is because you have been taught that there is no other way to lose weight except dieting. In fact,. the very word ‘diet’ is much abused and misused. Diet simply means the combination of foods that we eat everyday; but more often than not, the word ‘diet’ is used to imply some form of ‘restrictive’ eating. Now why do we eat? There are actually many reasons why people eat. Some eat because they feel hungry, others eat simply to pass away time, and still others eat to relieve themselves of some kind of emotional pain they are undergoing! And of course, people in general eat to keep themselves healthy! Read on cause you will find some info about how to lose weight easy.
Now, why do we gain weight? As long as we burn off the excess calories that we consume, we won’t gain an inch. However, trouble starts when we start putting more in our mouth and doing less and less activities! That is when the excess calories, since they are not burned off, get stored as fat. Truth to be told, obesity is the net result of an imbalance in your diet!
Now obesity is curable. And you must cure it. By being obese, you are not only harming your body physiologically, but also your mind. Just think how many times you faced the trauma of facing the taunts from your office colleagues or college mates, all because you were a bit fatter than them! All that is going to change now, if only you follow my three tips:
1.Listem to your body: In one article I had written that your body is far more intelligent than any of the weight loss experts out there. By means of signals, it will tell you what to do and when to do it, as well as what not to do! When your body says you are hungry, eat. When your body says that you are full, stop eating. If your body reacts adversely to any kind of junk food, stop its consumption. Learn to listen to your body and you will lose weight very fast!
2.You need carbs, but not through junk foods: The very first change you need to make in your diet plan is to replace the junk foods with healthier foods such as vegetables and fruits. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that cutting down on carb intake is OK; it isn’t. However you should change the source of your carb consumption. Instead of getting carbs from sugar, white flour etc., consume foods that contain complex carbs such as legumes, cauliflower, rice, etc.
3. Limit the amount of money you spend on foods: Just because you have got stacks of cash doesn’t mean that you have to spend it all on food. Why don’t you invest the money in a mutual fund, or donate a part of it to charity, or invest it in real estate or gold? There are a lot of ways you can use money instead of wasting it on foods. The less money you have at your disposal, the more you will be forced to stay away from junk foods (because most junk foods are quite expensive).
