You have probably heard about 101 ways to lose weight. I hate to burst the bubble, but most of what you have been taught by the so-called ‘experts’ is utterly false and misleading! Want to know more? Now, I really cannot blame the ordinary people totally. After all, most of them are quite busy; in fact, they are too busy to do their due diligence and research before accepting any weight loss tip. This is the reason why these misleading tips are being passed on from generation to generation. However, if you don’t have the time to check the inaccuracies of these weight loss tips, you won’t be able lose weight either! Now let us discuss some tips regarding our idea to lose fat stomach.
Myth#1-Remove carbs from your diet to lose weight: This is the most popular weight loss tip, and surprisingly, a falsehood! If you think that cutting down on your carb intake is going to help you lose weight, you are totally wrong! Absolute reduction of carbs will result in fatigue and loss of energy because the body usually draws the energy from your carbohydrates. Now you maybe thinking that since you are cutting down on the body’s main energy source - carbohydrates, your body will automatically be forced to burn your fat deposits in order to produce the required energy. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work that way!
In the absence of carbs, your body will think that you are starving it to death and therefore it would store the fat deposits ‘as is’ as an energy conservation measure. To get energy, then, it will have to burn your muscles! Slowly, you will feel weaker because of loss of muscles. As you can see, this tip doesn’t work! Is this how you want to lose fat stomach?
In fact, none of the three important food elements - fat, carbohydrates and protein - should be taken away altogether from your diet, because each element has its own function. Instead of cutting down on carbs altogether, why don’t you add foods that contain complex carbs, such as beans, whole grains, etc? Complex carbs take a lot of time to digest, so you won’t get fat by consuming these foods!
Myth#2-Heriditary weight gain has no solution: Yet another misleading weight loss tip that is being preached by common men and experts alike! What these people fail to realize is that if you work hard - if you follow a healthy diet and exercise routine, you cannot help but lose weight. Just because all the members of your family are overweight doesn’t mean that you have to be like them too! Of course, if you gain weight because of hereditary reasons, you will have to work harder than others to achieve weight loss; plus you cannot expect to attain the hour-glass figure like others. But nevertheless, you WILL lose weight!
